May the 4th Dear Yoda Letter 2017

Hi! Thanks for creating for me. I'm just going to come out with it: very large chunks of this are directly cut-and-pasted from my SW Rare Pairs letter and a few other places (such as last year's sign up, which I did just in the little AO3 boxes without a letter), because I've requested all / ships all the way through. (I didn't discover the joys of Aphra/Sana until half way through Rare Pairs, so that section's new, but that's pretty much it.)
General likes
I am, in general, up for any format, rating, or genre. Tropes-wise, I am particularly fond of canon-divergent AUs, people with issues relating to identity (in the sense of things like secret identities and amnesia) and telepathy. In terms of relationship dynamics, I like all sorts of things but particularly: friends-to-lovers, friends-with-benefits, enemies-to-lovers, lovers-to-enemies(-who-are-maybe-occasionally-still-lovers-against-their-better-judgement), loyalty kink, and you-and-me-against-the-universe sorts of situations. If you're going down the smutty route, I am fine with most kinks except for a few exceptions listed in the DNWs below. (And while I mention it, here is my Smut Swap letter, if it helps.)
In terms of things I like in Star Wars in particular, I am always here for pilots and their ships, lightsabers, galactic politics/diplomacy and weird alien planets (either in-keeping-with-the-films single biome efforts or ones that try to be more "realistic"). I tend to find that I can take or leave the intricacies of the internal bureaucracy of evil organisations (e.g. the Empire/First Order), but I am so here for the Dark Side in terms of fallen Jedi abusing the trust of their former friends and stuff like that so "X goes Dark Side" AUs (or in terms of the KotOR games, taking the Dark Side ending) are very welcome. If you're going down the smutty route, any and all types of Force Sex are good with me.
(If you go browsing through my other letters, you might see I often mention time travel in this section; weirdly, I'm not really that keen on it for Star Wars.)
General likes for art
I do like use of light and shade in a picture, and interesting Easter-egg-y type stuff going on in the background (if there is one). I am also up for reinterpretations into different art styles (e.g. chibi versions of the characters, or what they'd look like if they were in a retro computer game, that sort of thing).
General art prompts: An action scene that's a snapshot from an adventure, the characters in the middle of kicking ass. (Two characters back to back with their lightsabers/blasters out, for instance.) Goofy hijinks when they're off-duty. Little moments of intimacy: stolen kisses, hurt/comfort type stuff (but please not too much on the hurt front), that sort of thing. And, er, I have no problem at all with NSFW art.
General likes for fic
Overall, I am honestly very easy to please; I genuinely like pretty much all types of fic, from humorous vignettes, to angsty introspection, to twisty plotty adventure stories, and all points in between. I do like to make a positive point of the fact that fic-wise I'm always up for non-standard formats, anything from epistolatory or verse through to stories presented through documentary evidence, 1st/2nd person, present/future tense, IF, etc. etc. Again, if it works for what you want to do, I'll lap it up. (This is not to say that I don't enjoy reading third person, past tense, because I definitely do! I just don't want you to be put off doing other things if your inspiration takes you in that direction.)
General fic prompts: Being guided by the Force in a way that isn't quite what they expected. Getting to know each other better while on a mission/escaping from prison/etc. Down time in an exotic environment. Hurt/comfort. Helping each other to be strong.
Do Not Wants
Rey/Jessika Pava
(from TFA, where they never meet and Jess has like two lines, so supplementary canon yay)
I would love anything for these two from sweet and fluffy to out-and-out PWP. Dynamics-wise, I like the idea of both of them being a bit surprised at being in this relationship, but liking it (Rey having never had any opportunity to even really consider romance before now, Jess having hero-worshipped Jedi as per "Weapon of a Jedi" and now finding that they are actually flesh-and-blood people after all, that sort of thing). Feel free to include other TFA characters; I'm very keen on the overall team dynamics.
Prompts: bonding over fixing up spaceships (in the Poe Dameron comics, Jess seems to enjoy trying to squeeze every last drop of performance out of her X-Wing), flight training/competing with each other (Jess teaches Rey to fly an X-Wing? They race the Falcon against Jess's X-Wing? etc.), mission fic (undercover?), taking time out if the latest Resistance base is on some nice planet without too many enormous predators around.
Aphra/Sana Starros
(from the OT-era Marvel comics)
Give me them at each other's throats (in any sense). Give me them forced to work together and hating every minute of it. Give me backstory: their good times that were never really that good (or were they?). Give me bitterness and resentment and angst and betrayal and unhealthiness and obsession and all that good stuff.
Prompts: Aphra trying to puzzle out why Sana seems to have thrown her lot in with the Rebels. Sana realising that her feelings are more complicated than she wants to admit. Aphra trying to keep Sana secret from Vader (and maybe failing). Wagers and forfeits. Or if you're going into their backstory, any sort of smuggling/archaeological hijinks. (Aphra going playing in Legends worldbuilding is A-OK with me.) Were they always so hardbitten and cynical?
Belaya/Juhani
(from KotOR I)
Very strongly hinted at in canon though whether anything came of it while they were padawans is up to you, given the Jedi's restrictions on love.
Prompts: Long nights under the stars. Reunion after the end of the game (let's assume Belaya survived the bombardment of Dantooine somehow -- maybe she'd been sent on some other mission?). Or (since Belaya turns Dark Side and pops up on Korriban if you kill Juhani), an AU where they both fall together.
Light Side Female Jedi Exile/Darth Sion
(from KotOR II)
This is turning into a bit of a "One Day My Fic/Art Will Come" request for me, but here goes: I have used the "you're in my mind too" line on Sion in the past without the "[Lie]" in front of it more than once (the fact that he's a presence all the way through the game -- even on the menu screen -- makes it plausible to me). I definitely see this ship very much in terms of their shared experiences of being involved with Kreia. One of my favourite things about the game is the way it lets you react to things about your past and set your characterisation as you go, so feel free to take any interpretation that works for you. I find it hard to picture this ship ever being consummated or anything, it's more about the twisted obsession and so on, but go for it if you can make it work.
Prompts: Telepathy/Force bonds. Pain and suffering. Learning about each other through combat. AU: Exile doesn't run on Korriban when Kreia tells her to. The game makes a big deal of the contrast between Nihilus (Force vampire) and Exile (hole in the Force) but there's surely an equivalent thing with Sion and his only being kept alive by the Force.
I'm going to bundle the next three ships together, because they all involve Lando:
Lando Calrissian/Han Solo
Lando Calrissian/Leia Organa
Lando Calrissian/Leia Organa/Han Solo
(from the OT, surprisingly enough)
I really like Lando's role in the OT because he's one of the few non-Force-powered characters who gets to make a really big mistake and be forgiven for it. I really like the idea that he's got a lot of the same sort of instincts as Han but where Han has continued to buck authority Lando has become it, and had to adapt to that. Something involving the way they both end up being Generals in the Rebellion would be quite interesting in that regard (esp. if contrasted with Leia as princess/senator).
Overall, I very much picture Lando and Han as having had something fairly casual with deeper feelings on either side than they cared to admit pre-canon, and there's a long time while Han's frozen in carbonite between ESB and RotJ (I could go for something angsty set between the films; OTOH, Leia seems to accept Lando as on their team very quickly, really, so maybe something happens very soon ...). And I really, really like the idea that once Han is defrosted, they managed to work out an OT3 situation, though probably one that accommodates them all doing their own things, if that makes sense.
Prompts: Cramped quarters aboard the Millennium Falcon. Wagers and forfeits. Victory party on Endor. Anything set in the gap between RotJ and TFA. (I'm OK with this being fairly angsty, to be honest, in line with Leia and Han's relationship as shown there.)
Handmaiden/Visas
(from KotOR II)
The game half-heartedly posits these two as romantic rivals for Male Exile's attention, but they actually have a lot in common in terms of having been trained to a very high level by people who didn't really have their best interests at heart (Atris/Nihilus). If Exile features, I don't mind what gender here.
Prompts: being involved in the refounding of the Jedi Order (either with or without Exile's assistance, depending on whether you want to go with the idea that Exile went off to the Unknown Regions or not). Training (Echani combat techniques/Force Sight/etc.)/learning about each other through combat. Hoods and their significance.

Do Not Wants
- character or ship bashing
- Rey turning out to be related to anyone we already know (mostly because all the main candidates are people I don't want to turn out to be responsible for her being abandoned on Jakku)
- non-canon-divergent AUs (canon-divergent ones, on the other hand, are a big yes as mentioned above)
- children in danger/being harmed ("on screen", as it were; generic "well, yes, that planet they're about to blow up probably does have children on it" situations are fine)
- incest
- people under 16 having sex
- watersports/scat/emetophilia/bloodplay/breathplay/vore
- violent non-con (coercion/mind control/etc. are fine)
